She first became interested in quilting as a young girl sitting on her Grammie’s lap while she sewed. Now, with a background in Interior Design, Jessica creates quilted pieces that become a part of your everyday living space. Using traditional quilt blocks as the base of her designs, she plays with colour, texture and pattern to bring a contemporary slant to her work. Jessica works from her home studio, using both a sewing machine and hand stitching to bring her work to life.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith my background in Interior Design, I design my quilted pieces around the feeling of home. After living a busy lifestyle downtown Toronto for ten years, it’s been nice to slow down in Edmonton. When I started sewing in 2021, I thought I would never sew anything by hand; now it’s an integral part of my work.
