My process started by carefully selecting components from the Bling Bucket. My objective was to choose pieces that could be disassembled, allowing me to creatively repurpose the individual components. I aimed to reflect a personal aesthetic that aligns with steampunk, industrial design, and vintage motifs. When I came across various watches, I was immediately inspired to incorporate them into a clock tower structure.
This piece was influenced by Laurent Chehere's work, particularly his Flying Houses series, where he combines elements from real buildings to create surrealistic representations. Embracing a similar methodology, I began conceptualizing a clock tower, drawing inspiration from the architectural characteristics of historic row houses in Philadelphia, known for their multiple-peak roofs, textured surfaces, and distinct decorative details.
An essential aspect of my artistic practice has been incorporating light into my sculptures over the past few years. This additional element not only transforms the artwork's aesthetics and ambiance but also allows it to function as furniture.
My principal aim was to completely transform the bling into structural architectural elements. Throughout the process, I meticulously considered the piece's structural integrity, striving for durability and sturdiness—essential qualities for artwork intended for tactile engagement and display.

Bulb must be a LED bulb so it can not overheat. Paper umbrella have been covered in gloss gel medium but they are still fragile to water and can be torn or flattened. Whole sculpture has been painted with gel medium to seal but care still must be use when cleaning- wipe down with a slightly damp cloth.
