Christine Rossi holds a Bachelor of Design degree and a Residential Interiors Certificate from the University of Alberta. By day, she works as an interior designer, striving to improve the well-being of her clients through design and employing sustainable practices. In her evenings and weekends, she dedicates time to her art studio, focusing on textile and pattern design. Her passion lies in using natural and living materials to preserve character and bring a touch of nostalgia to her work.

While she has a deep connection to her hometown of Edmonton, Christine's favorite place on earth is a valley in the mountains of Northern Italy, where her parents grew up. Spending many childhood summers there provided her with a broad perspective, a love for nature and the mountains, and both insight and appreciation for the way others live. She often draws on these experiences to inform the direction of her work, believing that the foundation for great pieces of art comes from authentic storytelling. Because of this, family has always been a crucial part of Christine’s life and practice, valuing the important connections to the past and any documentation of it, whether through photographs or heirloom pieces.

In her downtime, Christine enjoys completing renovation projects on her 1950s home with her husband and planning backcountry camping trips in the Canadian Rockies, where she finds true peace and inspiration. Her life and art blend design skills, cultural influences, and a genuine appreciation for the beauty that surrounds her.

Christine’s work is often a reflection of her deep passion for being in nature as a way to reset, whether it’s exploring mountains or traveling to new places. She is always on the hunt for the awe-inspiring, vibrant colors and patterns that can be found in the natural world. Growing up in a climate characterized by a dead winter of white for most of the year has influenced her to embrace and relish in the colorful moments that nature can offer. Each piece she works on embodies a slice of this colorful wilderness, thoughtfully curated and designed to grace your living space. Each rug is made from 100% wool secured with natural latex to create a sustainable piece that tells a story.
