Margot van Lindenberg

Exposure to cultural diversity has influenced Margot Van Lindenberg’s (Calgary, AB) work considerably; born in the Netherlands, she studied Education in Amsterdam, then lived among the Wolof people in Senegal and among the Inuit in the Arctic.  Studies at the Alberta College of Art +Design in Calgary has a resulted in a BFA with distinction from the Fibre Program.

In her scarves colours are celebrated. The one-of-a-kind combination of colours and patterns is the result of hand dyeing, silk screening, and devore (an etching out process on velvet). Silk accepts rich colours and its vibrancy and lustre express and celebrate our unique personalities.
