For 25 years, Nicole Riedmueller has cultivated an evolving practice in clay as both a studio potter and ceramic artist. The vessels created for this project invite moments of quiet contemplation, aiming to enrich the small rituals of daily life. Her practice weaves together craft and art, evoking themes of invisible labour and care, enlivening the private spaces we inhabit. Each vessel stands as a gesture of material permanence and an expression of the intimate dialogue between maker and form.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (2000) from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, a Bachelor of Education (Fine Arts) (2017), and a Master of Fine Arts (2020) from the University of Lethbridge. Riedmueller has participated in artist residencies at the International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark and was among the inaugural residents at Medalta’s Artist in Residence Program, to which she has returned several times. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions. She has been recognized with numerous academic awards and a Canada Council Project Grant for Fine Craft.
