
Patricia Engebretson

Patricia Engebretson was born in High Prairie, Alberta and grew up grew up in Lesser Slave Lake, Alberta. In 1992, She moved to Edmonton where she found her passion for building shelving.
Patricia started creating small shelves in her kitchen, and this creative practice evolved into a lifelong pursuit in which she is still creating in her kitchen studio today. As a self-taught artist and visual designer, Patricia specializes in building strong, durable frames from layered cardboard that support heavy materials. Her artistic process is more like sculpting by layering pieces of cardboard carefully together one piece at a time. She uses materials including mosaic, leather, and steel to create functional, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each piece is truly unique.
