I was drawn to objects from the Bling Bucket that expressed a reference to grandeur. To me, the tiny crowns echo royalty.
The round leaded-glass centerpiece references badges of office that a mayor or lord would wear. Dangling below is the fleur-de-lis, the symbol of the French royal family, the Virgin Mary, and other religious deities who imbue their power to the individual who wears one. I was influenced by the First Peoples' practice of dream catchers for the structure of the necklace and hope to honour their influence. The humble ball chains are elevated visually with their abundant repetition.
Steel dog tag chain, cut glass crystal, Cubic Zirconium and sterling silver
Do not allow the chain to puddle on a surface or in a box as that will allow the chains to knot-up and stop it from being wearable.
