Sara Young is a woodworker, fibre artist and illustrator from Cochrane, AB who graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design. Her woodworking primarily focuses on textile tools, such as weaving shuttles, lucets, and tapestry looms. She enjoys creating satisfyingly tactile tools and believes each wood speaks differently to each individual. Believing every hardwood is unique has its own personality - be it from cool and smooth, or warm and soft, she carefully selects her materials to suit each tool and client.
Items from our Calgary location are currently available for pick-up and local delivery. If you wish to have an item shipped from our Calgary inventory, please purchase the item and contact us to arrange shipping.
Return and Exchange Policy
If you are not entirely satisfied with your Craft artwork, Alberta Craft will gladly exchange or issue a gift card for your purchase. Please present your till receipt or gift receipt with the item within 30 days of original purchase. Only exchanges with receipts or gift receipts with be honored.
All exchanges must be returned unused in their original purchase condition, with the original packing material, and any other item or accessory provided by the artist. In the event that a returned craftwork has items missing, is damaged or broken, or if the item has become broken due to misuse or as a result of adapting it for something outside of its intended use, the exchange may be refused.
If you find that you received your purchase damaged, please contact us immediately. If the error is ours, we will gladly exchange the product for you or provide a credit for any future purchase. Special orders and custom-made items cannot be exchanged or returned. Deposits on special orders and custom-made items cannot be exchanged or refunded.
