This hand-beaded piece is inspired by the visual elements of television test patterns.
A test card, also referred to as a test pattern or a start-up/closedown test, is a television test signal that is typically broadcast when the transmitter is active but no programming is being shown. This often occurs during sign-on and sign-off times.
Although test cards were once a common sight, they are now rarely seen outside of television studios, post-production facilities, and distribution centers.
